While I was researching my family tree, the census records, in particular, were problematic for me. They listed parishes, hamlets, villages, towns, cities, and counties that people lived in. Some of the Counties had borders that moved or names that changed from year to year. I have listed the places my family lived in to provide more information about these places.
I have listed everything alphabetically, but each place will have a picture depicting which country it is in. To begin with, these will all be Welsh or English, as that is where my ancestors were from or were living.
Llancarfan is a rural village and community in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales.
Llangeinor (Welsh: Llangeinwyr) is a small village located in the Garw Valley, around 5 miles north of Bridgend, Wales. The entire village is now protected as part of a conservation area.
Llantood (formerly Llantyd, Llantwyd or Llan-Illtyd) is a hamlet and parish in Cilgerran community, north Pembrokeshire, Wales.
Nant-y-moel or Nantymoel, meaning "stream from the bare mountain", is a village that includes the formerly separate village of Pricetown in the county borough of Bridgend, Wales, on the River Ogmore and is one of the constituent villages of the Ogmore Valley.
Ogmore (Welsh: Ogwr) is a village in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales on the River Ogmore. It grew around the now-ruined Ogmore Castle, built by the Normans.

Old Ford is an area in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets that is named after the natural Ford, which provided a crossing of the River Lea.
Pentonville is an area in North London, located in the London Borough of Islington. It is located 1.75 miles north-northeast of Charing Cross on the Inner Ring Road. Pentonville was developed on the northwestern edge of the ancient parish of Clerkenwell on the New Road. It is named after Henry Penton, the developer of the area.
St Dogmaels (Welsh: Llandudoch) is a village, parish and community in Pembrokeshire, Wales, on the estuary of the River Teifi, a mile downstream from the town of Cardigan in neighbouring Ceredigion.
