Spain.

These articles all have a connection to Spain, which is where I now live. The articles may be about my travels, life, places or general things I have noticed in or about Spain.

  • Barcelona Hospital.

This was not where I expected to be waking up in Barcelona. My leg was giving me a lot of pain now, and they were treating it for an insect bite after last night's Doppler scan showed no thrombosis, and the x-ray showed no breaks.

  • Berlanga De Duero Castle.

I had my computer set up to change images daily using Microsoft Bing images. One morning, the picture showed this marvellous castle. As it is in Spain, there is an excellent chance that I will be able to visit it and take it off of my bucket list.

  • Fareham to Madrid.

I woke around 5:45 this morning, 15 minutes before my alarm went off. I packed my last belongings to take to Spain, made sure Mum was okay, and then sat watching television until my friend Les arrived to pick me up and take me to Fareham train station.

  • Los Alcazares to Madrid.

I was up early today to go to Torre Pacheco to catch a train to Madrid for an overnight stay.

  • Los Alcazares to Madrid.

I travelled from Los Alcazares to Madrid today, the day before my flight to Japan, and stayed overnight in Madrid.

  • Madrid to Barcelona.

We checked out of our hotel in Madrid today to take the Spanish version of the bullet train to Barcelona. It was pretty comfortable and a lot better than the Chinese one I went on just a few months ago.

  • Madrid to Honolulu.

Today was a long day spent flying from Madrid to Honolulu via Amsterdam and Los Angeles.

  • Madrid, Spain.

My flight from Vancouver arrived back in Madrid today.

  • Montserrat Trip.

We got up early today for a coach tour to Montserrat via The Church of Colònia Güell on the way. We had no breakfast as our hotel didn't serve breakfast before 7:30 am.

  • Ride a Segway.

I think the first time I saw a Segway was on television. It was a policeman riding one somewhere, and I thought straight away that I had to have a go on one. I have now crossed riding a Segway off my bucket list.

  • Sanctuary of the Virgin of Hope.

I saw the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Hope online and thought it looked like a great place to add to my bucket list. I have now visited it and crossed it off my bucket list.

  • Segway tour of Madrid.

After a large breakfast, we caught a taxi to where we were taking a Segway tour. We were a bit early, so we had a coffee in a local bar before returning to the Segway tour office.

  • Train to Los Alcazares.

Today, I made the final part of my journey from Madrid to Los Alcazares.

  • Walking around Madrid.

This morning we took a train into the centre of Madrid, to the Old Town in the 'Puerto del Sol', or 'Gate of the Sun'. We saw two guides who were giving guided tours, the type Paul and I like, they were free and you just gave a tip if you enjoyed the tour.

  • Walking Barcelona.

I got up around 9:00 am, which is late for me; I had a relatively good night's sleep. I went to get breakfast in the hotel restaurant and was immediately unimpressed by the person letting me in.
